New Delhi: In view of the rising number of covid cases, the central government issued a warning to the states. The central government’s alert is for states including Kerala.
Other states are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. 26.4% of the current active cases are in Kerala. At the same time, the number of covid cases in the country is increasing. 1500 people have been confirmed with covid in 24 hours. This is the highest figure in 146 days. With this, the total number of people currently under treatment has increased to 8601.
910 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. With six deaths reported, the death toll rose to 5,30,824. Daily positivity rate is 1.33 percent and weekly positivity rate is 1.23 percent. The Ministry of Health also informed that so far 220.65 crore doses of vaccines have been given.
