Lucknow: A complete lockdown has been declared in UP as the spread of Covid continues to be extreme. The lockdown is tomorrow from 8 pm to 7 am on May 4th. Currently, the state has announced a weekend lockdown from 8 pm on Friday to 7 am on Monday.
With the number of patients per day crossing 29,824, the restrictions are likely to be further tightened. The total number of patients has crossed 11,82,848. The disease is confirmed. 11,943 deaths were also reported. The Allahabad High Court had ordered lockdowns in five cities in the state, which has the highest number of cases. But this was rejected by the Supreme Court. Following this, the government imposed a weekend lockdown in the state.
