New Delhi: CBSE has announced that the new academic year will begin on April 1, 2021. Classes in CBSE schools in Kerala usually start in June.
However, CBSE’s explanation came amid doubts over the reopening of the school after it was decided to conduct Class 10 and 12 examinations in May and June. CBSE Exam Controller Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj said schools should be opened following the guidelines of the respective states.
The CBSE order is based on proposals submitted by Indira Rajan, general secretary of the Council of CBSE Schools. Schools should take the necessary precautions to receive students and to conduct face-to-face study.
Teachers should pay personal attention to each student before filling in the gaps in learning. Particular attention should be paid to students in grades nine and 11. The circular also says that students should be prepared to make the necessary preparations for the final examination.
