Gurugram: Ex-serviceman’s house burglarized in Gurugram. Thieves stole jewelry, cash and watches worth Rs 15 lakh. The theft took place last day at the house of a retired Lt. General in Sector-23.
The theft took place between 1.30pm on October 26 and 1pm on the 27th. When he came to Delhi with his family, the house was robbed. Silver jewels worth Rs 4 lakh, gold jewelry worth Rs 2.5 lakh, diamond earrings worth Rs 2 lakh and luxury watches worth Rs 2 lakh were stolen, according to the complaint lodged by Lt Gen (Retd) HS Bedi.
Based on the complaint, the Palam Vihar police registered an FIR under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 457 (house-trespass) and 380 (burglary in dwelling house). The police informed that they are investigating the incident.
