New Delhi: The Bharat Bandh today was part of a farmers’ strike demanding the repeal of controversial agricultural laws. Protests will be held in Kerala. The country will be at a standstill during the bandh from 6 am to 6 pm. Central trade unions, including the AITUC, and various trade unions have said they will support the bandh.
Leaders of the Samyuktha Kisan Morcha have said that the states where elections are being held and essential services, including ambulances, have been exempted from the ban. The leaders also announced that they would protest by burning copies of agricultural laws on Holi on the 28th.
