New Delhi: Banks will be closed for four days in the country. Banks will remain closed for the last four days of this month as bank employees have declared a national strike on the 30th and 31st. The 28th and 29th are the fourth Saturday and Sunday. The long bank holiday is likely to affect banking services across the country.
At the same time, management has advised bank customers to plan their bank visits and transactions accordingly. The bank strike will be held with demands including salary revision.
State convener of United Forum of Bank Unions Mahesh Mishra said that the issues related to settlement, five working days in banks, promotions, and pay and pension fixation have not been completed yet.
