Thiruvananthapuram: Believers celebrated the Feast of Sacrifice with covid norms. Eid prayers were held in the churches in full compliance with the Covid norms. Most of the believers participated in the prayers at home.
Believers celebrated the Feast of Sacrifice in full compliance with the Covid regulations during the epidemic scenario. Eid prayers were held in churches and homes. Only 40 people attended the prayers in the churches. Imam Abdul Nasser Saqafi led the Eid prayers at Marcus Mosque, Kozhikode.
Imam VP Suhaib Moulavi led the Eid prayers at Palayam Church in Thiruvananthapuram. Then the Imam gave the Eid message. Believers attended Eid prayers at home.
Eid prayers were also held in the mosques of Kochi following the Covid protocol. As per the directions of the Mahal Committees, less than forty persons participated. Strict Covid control was imposed on the important churches of Kaloor, Vyttila, and Karukappilly.
Believers came to the mosque with the musalla mat at the place of worship. Eid prayers started in all the mosques earlier than usual in the morning. There were no public venues, including the Kaloor Stadium, which is the venue for regular prayers.
