Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has suspended two officials investigating the luxury cruise drug case against actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.
NCB officials Vishwa Vijay Singh and Ashish Rajnan Prasad have been sacked. The NCB has not released information on the cause of the suspension. The action was based on the Vigilance Investigation Report that the two had made suspicious interventions in the Aryan Khan case.
Vishwa Vijay Singh led the investigation into the case. Prasada was his main helper. It was revealed that former NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede had demanded Rs 25 crore in connection with the case.
Aryan Khan will be arrested by the NCB on October 3, 2021. Aryan Khan was charged with possession, use, distribution and sale of illicit intoxicants. Seventeen people, including Aryan Khan, were granted bail in the case. Two are still in judicial custody.
