Srinagar: Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have been arrested from Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir Police said. The arrested terrorists have been identified as Rizwan Mushtaq Wani and Jameel Ahmed Para. During the search conducted by the Sopore Police and 22 RR, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the terrorists.
A suspicious movement of a person who was coming with a bag at the bus stand was noticed. He was then asked to stop, but he tried to flee the scene. But the security forces caught him strategically,’ says the police statement. The police said that the arrested Rizwan Mushtaq was a terrorist of the banned outfit Lashkar and was planning to attack non-locals, minorities, security personnel and citizens.
After Rizwan Mushtaq revealed the name of his accomplice, another terrorist Jameel Ahmed Para was also caught. Baramulla police arrested Para late at night. Weapons and ammunition like pistols, grenades and explosives were recovered during the search. Further investigation is going on in the matter.
