Dehradun: At least 11 people were killed when a wedding party vehicle overturned in a gorge in Uttarakhand. Two people were injured.
The accident took place this morning in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand. The vehicle in which the group was returning from the wedding went out of control on Sukhidang Reetha Sahib Road and overturned into a ravine.
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene and led the rescue operation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of those killed in the accident and Rs 50,000 to those injured.
