New Delhi: Former Minister, MP and, congress leader P Sankaran passed away. He was 72 years old. He died at MVR Co-operative Hospital last night due to illness. He represented the Koyilandi Assembly constituency in 2001 and was Minister of Health and Tourism in the AK Antony Ministry. He was elected to the Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency in 1998. Calicut DCC for 10 years | He also served as President, KPCC General Secretary, and UDF District Chairman.
P. Krishnan came to the public eye through KSU. Sankaran was a member of the Calicut University Syndicate and chairman of the union. He also served as a lawyer in the Perambra court. Party events to be held in Kozhikode district have been postponed.
