New Delhi: India to ban another 47 Chinese apps in India. Indications are that the central government is preparing for another digital strike. It is reported that 275 apps, including Pubji, are set to be banned in the interest of national security and data leakage.
Many of the most popular apps in India, including Pubg, Zili, Ali Express, and Ludo World, may be banned in the second phase of the digital strike. In addition to Chinese apps, apps with investments from Chinese companies will also be banned.
Indications are that India is moving to a more drastic measure as Chinese apps are banned en masse in the US. According to national media reports, sources close to the Central Government said that steps are being taken to revise the IT laws to ensure the security of the personal information of the citizens of the country.
