Thiruvananthapuram: Customs inspections at Swapna Suresh’s flat, believed to be the mastermind in the gold smuggling case, have ended. During a six-hour inspection, the customs team seized documents, including a Pendrive. The inspection began at noon at the Ambalamukku flat of Swapna. A laptop, a Pendrive, a bank passbook, a hard disk, and some files were seized from the spot. It was all sealed separately and taken by customs officials.
The customs inspection was conducted in the presence of Swapna’s brother. The team checked the visitor’s list and CCTV footage of the flat. The caretaker’s testimony was recorded. The inspection commenced at noon and ended at 6 pm. Customs had been trying out here for the past few days. According to reports, the customs have received information about eight transactions in which the accused was arrested.
