New Delhi: Covid-19 confirmed to 29 people across the country. Of these, 16 are from Italy. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that one person in Delhi and six family members in Agra have been diagnosed with the disease. A preliminary examination of 16 Italian nationals and their Indian driver was confirmed at Jaipur. In Telangana, two more people have been diagnosed with the disease. A person was recently confirmed with the virus. As a precautionary measure, three schools in Delhi were closed. Two school holidays have been made early.
So far 5,89,000 passengers have been screened at airports and 10 lakh at the Nepal border. 27,000 are under surveillance. The visa granted to citizens of Italy, Iran, South Korea, and Japan and those visiting these countries were canceled. The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary, PK Mishra, to assess the precautionary activities. Holi celebration at the Rashtrapati Bhavan has been canceled. A man with obvious symptoms who was returning from a visit to Italy and South Korea have been admitted to a hospital in Jammu. In Haryana, a PayTM employee has been diagnosed with the disease. Isolation wards were prepared at Deindayal Upadhyay Hospital in Varanasi.
