China’s death due to the Coronavirus toll rises to 630. More than 30,000 people have been diagnosed with the disease. Though no new cases have been reported in Kerala, the health department continues to be vigilant.
Health Minister KK Shailaja has said that 2,826 people are under observation in various districts of the state. Of these, 2,743 are under observation in homes and 83 in hospitals. Of the 263 samples sent to the National Virology Institute for suspected infection, 229 were negative. There is no concern for the health of anyone currently admitted to the hospital. The Corona Control Room has been set up in the state health department headquarters and district headquarters. Meanwhile, the Chinese doctor who first warned of coronavirus has died of coronavirus. Ophthalmologist at Wuhan Central Hospital Li Wenliang is dead, reports said.
