New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has directed that theaters should be reopened. Amit Khare, the ministry’s secretary-general, suggested the home ministry during a meeting with members of the CII media committee here yesterday.
The main suggestion is that theaters across the country should be open by the beginning or end of August.
People can be admitted by keeping a social distance. When arranging seats, people should be seated in alternate rows. Amit Khare said the social distance standard of 2.5 meters will also be taken into account.
At the same time, there has been no positive response from theater representatives. The home ministry has not yet commented.
