Ayodhya: Restrictions imposed in the wake of violence in different parts of Uttar Pradesh will continue in the city of Ayodhya, the district administration said. District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Jha announced the 144 till February 25.
The ban did not affect public life in Ayodhya. But with the co-operation of the locals, Jha said, “We are wary of treasonous forces.”
After the Ayodhya verdict, millions of Muslim families in Ayodhya and the region have been affected by violence in different parts of the country. Violence was mitigated by stringent action, including the confiscation of property on the part of the state government.
After the verdict in favor of the Ayodhya Temple, the number of people coming to see the construction work and the Ram Lala Darshan has been reduced due to violence. However, the magistrate said the situation is normal and the local people’s cooperation in security matters is well received.
