Bhopal: In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, the assembly session in Madhya Pradesh has been postponed till the 26th of this month. It is a matter of great relief to the Kamal Nath government that the postponement of the Assembly has been postponed due to uncertainty over the vote of confidence. The postponement declaration comes after Governor’s policy announcement in the assembly.
Earlier on Monday, the governor had suggested that the Kamal Nath government should gain confidence in the Assembly. At the same time, the Speaker did not include the vote of confidence in the agenda of the convention. The speaker rejected the Governor’s request for a vote of confidence today.
BJP MLAs relocated to Haryana and Congress MLAs relocated to Jaipur arrived in the assembly in the morning. The governor returned after a two-minute policy announcement. He said that everyone should abide by the constitutional laws and that the dignity of Madhya Pradesh is protected. Meanwhile, 22 Congress MLAs remain in Bengaluru.
