Star Singer Season 9 has come to a thrilling conclusion, with Arvind emerging victorious as the grand finale winner. The much-awaited announcement was made during the grand finale, which aired live from the Adlux Convention Centre in Ernakulam on Sunday, October 20, from 6 PM onwards.
Arvind triumphed over fellow finalists Nanda, Disha, Anushree, Balram, and Sriraag, the audience-voted contestant, securing the highest number of points in the two-round finale. His stellar performances in both the Choice Round, where contestants sang songs of their choice, and the intense One vs. One Round, where two singers performed together, earned him the prestigious title of Star Singer Season 9 winner.
Adding to the night’s excitement, Sriraag was selected as the Star Singer Popular Contestant by audience votes. The event was graced by a star-studded panel, including Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, renowned playback singer Hariharan, Sujatha, and other notable celebrities. The judges for the finale included industry legends KS Chitra, Sujatha, Sithara Krishnakumar, and Vidhu Pratap, with Hariharan serving as the Chief Judge.
The grand finale also featured mesmerizing performances, including a standout musical presentation by Hariharan and Stephen Devasya, captivating the audience with their brilliance.
As an added highlight, Asianet took the opportunity to unveil two upcoming shows: the serial Teacher Amma, and the game show Enkile Ennod Para. Additionally, the much-anticipated Star Singer Season 10 was officially announced during the event.
The winner, Arvind, will receive a cash prize of Rs.50 lakhs courtesy of Confident Group, while each of the remaining five finalists will be awarded Rs.2 lakhs, as announced by Dr. CJ Roy, Founder & Chairman of Confident Group, during the finale.
