New Delhi: Leading two-wheeler maker Harley-Davidson is closing down in India. The company has decided to stop selling and manufacturing in India due to a declining customer base. This is stated in a statement issued by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association.
About 2,000 workers will lose their jobs as the company leaves India. Dealers will lose about Rs 130 crore. Harley-Davidson currently has 35 dealers. Harley is the fourth vehicle brand to cease operations in India in the last three years.
