Thiruvananthapuram: The case of an attempt to attack the Chief Minister inside the plane has been referred to the Special Investigation Team. A five-member team led by Crime Branch SP Pratheesh Thottathil will probe the case.
The case of attacking the Chief Minister inside the aircraft was handed over to the Special Investigation Team on the basis of a government order. Crime Branch Chief SP Sheikh Darwesh Sahib is overseeing the investigation of the case. Crime Branch Kannur SP Prajeesh Thottathil.
The team consists of Koothuparamba DySP Pradeepan Kannipoyil, Shankhumugham Assistant Commissioner DK Prithviraj, Valiyathura Circle Inspector T Sathikumar, Koothuparambu Circle Inspector PA Binumohan and Mattannur Circle Inspector M Krishnan.
The SIT is investigating whether there was a high-level conspiracy behind the attack. Police are also looking into those who provided financial assistance to the accused arrested in the case and those who took the tickets. The case has been handed over to an SP-ranked official as the conspiracy took place in two districts.
