Saudi Interior Ministry lifts travel ban on Indonesia. The ministry said the move to lift the travel ban was a continuous assessment of the situation in the country. In July 2021, Saudi Arabia imposed a travel ban on Indonesia. Citizens’ travel to 16 countries, including India, was banned.
The country’s explanation for the ban comes in the wake of an increase in covid cases. No cases of monkeypox have been confirmed in Saudi Arabia so far, the health ministry said. The ministry explained that all the mechanisms are in place to monitor and handle cases.
