New Delhi: Political parties have shifted their campaign to digital after the Election Commission banned rallies and roadshows till January 15 in the wake of the coup. The campaign is active in UP, focusing on social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Large LED screens will be installed in the vehicles to deliver the speeches of the leaders live. There will also be ‘3D’ virtual rallies of key leaders. The Congress has set up a special facility at the party headquarters in Delhi for the digital campaign. Green rooms were also set up at the residences of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
A 3D rally of senior leaders is also planned. The BJP is at the forefront of campaigning on social media. The BJP has WhatsApp groups of party workers concentrated in constituencies in several states, including UP.
The BJP is also at the forefront of the campaign through the newspaper, visual, and digital media advertisements. SP and BSP are back in digital campaigning. AAP has also launched digital campaigns in states including Punjab.
