Thiruvananthapuram: The wife of the late film actor Rajan P Dev has been arrested in a domestic violence case. Shantha, who was present at the Nedumangad SP office, will be released on bail.
Santha is the second accused in the suicide case of her daughter-in-law Priyanka. They were charged with incitement to suicide and domestic violence. Priyanka’s husband Unni P Dev was arrested by the police on May 25, 2021.
Priyanka was found dead inside her house in Vembayam on April 13, 2021. The complaint was that Unni and Shanta were constantly harassing Priyanka in the name of dowry. Priyanka had a quarrel with Unni and was staying in her own house. According to the complaint, Unni had threatened Priyanka over the phone in the name of dowry.
