Washington: The United States has decided to ease the travel restrictions imposed on travelers from countries including India. The exemptions will come into effect from November 8. In early 2020, the United States imposed stricter restrictions on the travel rules of foreign travelers. The U.S. imposed travel restrictions on foreign nationals who visited the UK, Ireland, China, India, South Africa, Iran, and Brazil within 14 days.
Children under the age of 18 and individuals with certain health problems are excluded from the revised vaccine requirements. Non-tourist foreign nationals from more than 50 countries with a vaccination rate of less than 10 percent are also eligible for the exemption. But they must be vaccinated if they intend to stay in the United States for more than 60 days.
On September 20, the White House announced that it would lift restrictions on vaccinated travelers from 33 selected countries. The United States has also issued guidelines for flight attendants to know if foreign travelers have been vaccinated.
