Jawzjan: At least 21 Taliban militants have been killed in an airstrike by Afghan forces in the northern province of Javzjan. The statement was made by Hanif Rizai, a military spokesman for the northern region. The incident took place on Friday.
Most were killed in attacks on hideouts in Murghab, Hasanthabin, and Atma. Ten people were seriously injured in the attack. US troops withdrew from Afghanistan in the first week of May. The Taliban is reported to be in control of more than 200 districts.
