Mumbai: The death toll from heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra has risen to 136. Of these, 47 died in a landslide in Raigarh. Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in Kolhapur, Raigarh, Ratnagiri, Palghar, Thane, and Nagpur districts.
In Satara district alone, 27 people were killed. Several people were also killed in Gondia and Chandrapur. At least 70 people are missing after a landslide in Raigarh. Houses were flooded in four villages in Satara. Eight patients died at Chiplun covid Hospital in Ratnagiri due to a lack of oxygen.
