Mumbai: Train traffic on the Konkan route has been curtailed due to heavy rains in Mumbai and Maharashtra region and landslides on the Kalyan railway line. The Rajdhani from Thiruvananthapuram to Nissamuddin, Ogha from Ernakulam, Nissamuddin Express from Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam-Nissamuddin and Kurla from Thiruvananthapuram were canceled yesterday. Kochuveli -Indore, Nizamuddin – Ernakulam, Lokmanya Tilak – Thiruvananthapuram, Veraval – Thiruvananthapuram, Chandigarh – Kochuveli, Tirunelveli – Gandhidham was diverted through Tamil Nadu.
In addition, several trains have stopped halfway. Passengers of diverted and canceled trains will be able to continue their journey on other trains, the Railways said.
