Thrissur tree robbery: The crime branch has registered three cases

Thrissur: The crime branch has registered three cases in connection with the Thrissur tree robbery. The case was registered on the charge of theft. Revenue Minister K Rajan said he was not aware of the enforcement probe into the robbery of the tree.

A high-level team searching for timber in the state had reached Thrissur yesterday and inspected the documents. Subsequently, three cases were registered. The case is against timber traders who bought timber from landlords and sold it to mill owners. The forest department took up 38 cases in the incident. Minister K Rajan said he was ready to face any inquiry.
