The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has warned fishermen and coastal dwellers to be vigilant along the Kerala coast (from Pozhiyur to Kasaragod) at 11.30 pm tonight with waves of 2.6 to 3.6 m. Navjot Khosa informed. Fishermen are not allowed to go to sea off the coast of Kerala till June 18.
Authorities have warned people to stay away from dangerous areas as seas are likely to intensify. Fishing vessels should be securely tied up and stored in the harbor. The safety of fishing equipment should be ensured. The collector also said that trips to the beach and recreational activities at sea should be completely avoided.
