Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has given permission for online booking and distribution of liquor at lockdown. The scheme provides home delivery of liquor to those who book online. The government explained that this would prevent the production and sale of counterfeit liquor.
Delivery is only available within 15 km of pubs. Home delivery of liquor is May 10 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Up to five liters per person can be booked. In addition to the price of alcohol, a delivery charge of Rs 100 is payable.
Meanwhile, the opposition came out in strong protest against the government’s decision. The opposition alleges that the government’s decision was inappropriate and irresponsible.
