New Delhi: To address Oxygen scarcity in Hospitals in India, funds were provided from the PMCare Fund for setting up the 551 oxygen plants. Will take steps to make plants work faster, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The plants are being set up on the land of government hospitals, selected by the authority. These plants help to increase the availability of oxygen at the district level. The PMO office said in a statement. Earlier this year, PM set out to set up 162 PSA oxygen plants and 201.58 crores were earmarked from the fund.
To further strengthen the public health system, one of those hospitals plants is in place to ensure that there is an oxygen production facility.
Hospitals in the country are running out of oxygen after the second phase of the code. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister on Monday. Oxygen deficiency is a major problem in most hospitals in Delhi. Twenty-five patients died at a Delhi hospital due to oxygen scarcity.
