Thiruvananthapuram: Two policemen have been suspended for violating the election commission’s model code of conduct in the state. The policemen at the Neyyattinkara police station under the hill in Thiruvananthapuram district have been suspended. Harish, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Malayinkeezhu Police Station, and Ajith, Senior Civil Police Officer, Neyyattinkara Police Station have been suspended.
Harish has been suspended for violating election rules by issuing voter slips to a UDF candidate. The reason for suspending Ajith is that he was campaigning for the LDF candidate on social media.
