Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Electoral Officer Tikaram Meena has said that postal voting will be facilitated for more sections in the Assembly elections. Postal voting will be open to police, health workers, ambulances, journalists, Milma, and prison, excise. Those wishing to vote by post must fill out Form 12-D. He added that videography would be mandatory when postal voting.
Officials will be suspended and prosecuted if they facilitate fraudulent voting in the election. The commission will protect officials even after the election. Election officials will be paid Rs 15 lakh in case of any mishap while on duty, he added.
