New Delhi: The National Association of Traders (NTUC) has said that the Bharat Bandh, called tomorrow, will bring trade centers to a standstill. Leaders said transport vehicles would also take part in the bandh.
The Confederation of All India Traders has called for a February Bharat Bandh to address the complexities of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and to ease the e-way bill, and reverse frequent fuel price hikes. The All India Transport Welfare Association, a leading organization in the field of automotive transport, has expressed support for the bandh. The Confederation of All India Traders said in a statement that the road would be blocked as part of the bandh.
There are several discrepancies in the Goods and Services Tax, which a country started as a tax. The council said in a statement that the council was not taking any steps to simplify the tax structure. The group said the strike was in protest of the council’s anti-trade stance.
