Kochi: The court has given permission to make partial changes in the charges against actor Dileep in the case of attacking the actress. The court partially allowed the prosecution’s request to amend the charges against Dileep. According to the citation, Dileep is accused of kidnapping the actress, filming the scenes, and conspiring to attack her.
The court has directed to make partial changes in this. However, the respondent has come out against the change in the charge sheet of the case which is within the purview of the High Court. Meanwhile, the court will hear a petition filed by actor Dileep on January 19 seeking cancellation of his bail for allegedly trying to influence a witness.
The trial is set to begin on May 21. The trial was adjourned following the resignation of the Special Prosecutor, who expressed dissatisfaction with the trial court. The trial is set to resume with the appointment of a new special prosecutor.
