Thiruvananthapuram: The lorry that caused the death of journalist SV Pradeep was found. Driver Joy was taken into custody by Fort police. He was taken into custody from Enchakkal. Joy has been charged with murder. The owner Mohanan will also be taken into custody, police said. The lorry is named after Mohanan’s daughter. The driver stated that the accident happened when he was going to unload the load at Vellayani.
Mohanan and Joy were on their way to Shantivila from the Vattiyoorkavu quarry carrying Msand. Joy told police he knew the vehicle had crashed and had not stopped because of fear. The lorry was picked up again in the morning after it was learned through the media that the lorry number was not clear.
