Thiruvananthapuram: The state is incomplete lockdown today. Only shops selling essential items are permitted. The DGP said that only the essential issues should be released by the public. A special check by the police to monitor those who live in the quarantine at home will still be on. The state government will make changes to the exemptions and restrictions as per the decision of the central government after the phase-III lockdown.
Wayanad, where most patients are treated in the state, continues to be vigilant. There are currently 17 patients undergoing treatment. Besides, eight people were hospitalized with symptoms. A total of 2,157 persons were observed in the district. Due to the spread of disease in tribal areas, various Panchayats in Mananthavady taluk has been closed and strict vigilance is being continued. The district collector said that the people of the area will not be released.
