Wayanad: 71 more people under surveillance at home due to coronavirus precautions in Wayanad. A total of 235 people are under surveillance in the district. Seven Sambles sent to examine yesterday. So far 23 samples have been inspected. Out of these, the result is negative. There are 14 more result has to come.
Transport Minister AK Sasheendran presided over a review of the progress of corona immunization activities in the district. The Health Department is working with 12 teams working in preventive measures across the district.
Ambulance drivers and KSRTC employees have been trained. Patients who are suffering from other diseases and who are under observation in their homes will be provided with doctors through WhatsApp. The availability of isolation wards has been ensured in government and private hospitals in the district.A team of the health department is inspecting the travelers from other states at 10 checkpoints in the district. The minister said the passengers were cooperating well with the inspection. The district collector said the panchayats and the tourism department are surveying tourists in the resorts. The collector said that he would prepare awareness pamphlets in German, French, and Spanish and give them to tourists.
