Chennai: Kamal Haasan, the Tamil actor and the leader of Makkal Niti Mayyam, has been granted anticipatory bail in his statement that Nathuram Vinayak Godse was the first Hindu terrorist in India. The Madras High Court granted anticipatory bail in the case registered in the Aravakurichi police station for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. About 76 complaints were filed against Kamal Haasan in various controversies.
Some of the statements made by him in the election rally held on May 19 are controversial. He said that Godse was the first terrorist in India.
