Thiruvananthapuram: Famous dubbing artist and actress Anandavally passed away. 62 years old. He died at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Anandavally was a jingle dubbing for four decades in Malayalam cinema industry. Director by Deepan was the son. Anandavally has given her voice around 3700 films.
Anandavally who came from drama and later in the film through KPAC has become the busy dubbing artist in the 1980s. Anandavally’s voice famous through Poornima Jayaram, Geetha, Suhasini, and Gauthami, who came into acting in Malayalam from other languages. They are noteworthy when the voice of Purnima Jayaram, in the film ‘Manjil Vilina Pookal’ Anandavally received the State Award for best dubbing artist in ‘Adhiram’.
Anandavally was born in Kollam, the daughter of Raman Pillai and Chembakakuttyamma in Manipuzha Veedu. The father’s interest in art brought Anandavally to the art field.
In 1969, she played the role of Kottayam Chellappan’s drama ‘Chithal Kayariya Bhoomi’. The famous play writer O. Madhavan invited Anandavaally to Kalidasa Kalakaendra. Anandavally made a remarkable appearance in KT Mohammed’s play Muthuchippy.
In 1970, at the age of 19, he married Chandrashekhar Pillai, a close relative of Anandavally. The Anandavally invited to KPAC when she was settled in Thiruvananthapuram. The first drama was an Agniparvatham. Anandavally received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress in 1978 for her performance in Kaniyapuram Ramachandran’s drama ‘ Enik Maranamilla’.
From there, Anandavally comes to the film field with the help of Thoppil Bhasi. Her first movie was Enippadikal. Anandavalli first dubbed for Devi Kanyakumari, a Maryland film. In the meantime, she also worked as an announcer for some time in the All India Radio.
