The Central government informed the High Court that the permission was given by relaxing the conditions in the Centre-State Disaster Response Fund. The government can spend money other than as per central norms in Wayanad. The Central government told the court that the state government can also decide to spend more money in the SDRF.The Division Bench of the High Court was considering the case taken voluntarily in connection with the Wayanad disaster. The state government has clarified in the court that the process of acquiring land for the rehabilitation of the disaster victims is continuing. The High Court adjourned the case to Thursday.
