Dr. V Narayanan is the new chairman of ISRO. He will take charge on the 14th. The new appointment comes with the resignation of the current chairman Dr S Somnath.
He is currently the Director of Liquid Propulsion Systems Center (LPSC) at ISRO. He will also hold the charge of Secretary of the Department of Space and Chairman of the Space Commission.
With a career spanning nearly four decades, he has held various key positions in the Indian Space Organisation. One of his major achievements was as the Project Director of the C25 Cryogenic Project for the GSLV Mk Ill vehicle. Under his leadership, the team successfully developed the C25 stage, a critical component of the GSLV Mk III.
Meanwhile, Dr. V Narayanan responded that ISRO is going through a good time. He said that the unmanned probe will be launched before Gaganyaan and the preparations for the Chandrayaan 4 mission have already started. V Narayanan also stated that there are many launching programs.
