Kochi: Actor Siddique, who is absconding in the rape case, may approach the Supreme Court today seeking anticipatory bail. Against this, survivors filed a stay petition in the Supreme Court. The state has also decided to file a stay petition against Siddique’s bail plea. The government is tightening its stance against Siddique.
It was decided to arrest Siddique after the High Court rejected his anticipatory bail application on Tuesday. But till now the investigation team has not been able to find Siddique. There are indications that Siddique’s vehicle was spotted in Alappuzha. Searches were conducted late at night at relatives’ houses and hotels, but to no avail. The investigation team is in the process of expanding the investigation to other states.
