N Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu is becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time. Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan took charge as Deputy Minister.
Along with Pawan Kalyan, Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh and 22 others took charge as ministers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, film star Rajinikanth, former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and other important leaders attended the swearing-in ceremony.
In November 2021, Telugu Desam Party President and then Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu left the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly with an oath that he would only step foot in the Legislative Assembly after returning to power. Ambadi Rambabu of the ruling YSR Congress made a bad remark about Chandrababu Naidu’s wife that led Naidu to swear.
Naidu came back to Andhra politics by staying with the BJP after his disastrous defeat in the last election and imprisonment. The TDP became the second largest party in the NDA by winning 16 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Allies Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena won 21 assembly seats and BJP 8 seats.
