Trial court rejects bail application;  Kejriwal should remain in jail

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s plea seeking extension of interim bail has been dismissed by the Delhi Rose Avenue Court.  With this, Kejriwal should remain in jail.

 Kejriwal approached the Supreme Court and the trial court as per the instructions of the Supreme Court Registrar to extend the bail granted by the Supreme Court for one more week till June 1 for election campaign.  The trial court heard the case on June 2 but postponed it to June 5 for judgment.  With this, Kejriwal returned to jail on the 3rd.
