New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has sought a report from Air India on widespread cancellation of flight services. The Ministry of Civil Aviation informed that the airline has been asked to resolve the issue immediately and the airlines have been directed to provide facilities to the passengers as per DGCA rules. The action of the Ministry of Aviation comes after about ninety flight services have been canceled since Tuesday night.
The crisis was triggered by a group of cabin crew members taking mass leave. More than 200 cabin crew employees have taken sick leave. The employees took sick leave en masse and went on strike demanding an increase in allowance. Air India Express apologized for the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to the cancellation of the flight.
