Thiruvananthapuram: The State Right to Information Commission has issued an order including the state district offices and subordinate elements of the Kudumbashree Mission in the scope of RTI. Based on this, the executive director of the mission issued a circular appointing RTI officers in all offices and units of the Kudumbashree Mission.
With this, applications can now be made in Kudumbashree units under the Right to Information Act. A reply will be received within 248 hours or 29 days after checking the importance of the application. In normal files, the process will start within five days. Anyone who has a complaint against this can appeal to the Kudumbashree Mission District Coordinator. If you do not get information from there, you can approach the Right to Information Commission.
The order was made to bring all the units within the ambit of the law while deciding the application of Kulathur Moiteenkuttymash, who had taken initiative to establish CDS units in Malappuram district. In 2010, Kudumbashree had approached the High Court against the Commission’s order rejecting the mission’s application submitted to the headquarters of Kudumbashree, asking for documents such as the administrative structure, office memorandum and first committee minutes of the Kudumbashree Mission. According to the order of the court which validated the order of the commission, Commissioner AA Hakeem, who re-considered the case and disposed of the petition, made the order to bring all the units within the limit of the law.
