Kochi: Veena Vijayan’s company Exalogic filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court seeking a stay on the SFIO investigation. The opposite parties in the petition are the Central Government and the SFIO Director. The petition was filed through a lawyer named Manu Prabhakar Kulkarni. As part of the investigation, the SFIO team is searching for information by inspecting various places. Exalogic’s petition seeking a stay comes amid reports that Veena Vijayan will be served a notice to seek information from Exalogic in the investigation. The petition is likely to be heard by the Karnataka High Court today.
In the month-long case against Chief Minister’s daughter Veena, the SFIO team is continuing to probe the information collected from CMRL and KSIDC. Meanwhile, Exalogic approached the Karnataka High Court against the investigation. The SFIO team inspected the corporate office of KSIDC yesterday. After two days of inspection at CMRL, the team arrived at KSIDC. It is also indicated that there will be an action to seek information from Exalogic soon. Veena may be immediately served with a notice directing him to appear in person or to submit documents. Earlier, KSIDC had also filed a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking a stay on the SFIO investigation. The Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs will respond soon.
