New Delhi: India has asked Pakistan to hand over 2008 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed. Indian Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi informed that the request has been submitted.
He is currently in jail in a case of raising money for terrorist activities. A case has been filed against Hafeez by Pakistan’s counter-terrorism department. He has served jail time for engaging in such activities before. Hafiz, who spent various periods of apprenticeship in and out of Pakistan, was moving freely in Pakistan and making inflammatory anti-Indian remarks.
Hafiz Talha Saeed, son of Hafiz Saeed and Lashkar-e-Toiba leader Hafiz Talha Saeed, is about to contest the elections in Pakistan. Talha is the second son of Lashkar-e-Toiba after Hafiz Saeed. Last year, he was declared a terrorist by the Union Home Ministry under UAPA.
